| I wasn't going to do this list this year, feeling so good overall about the year in movies. Then this happened, and I figured I might as well. I'll be force-feeding myself some more 2007 movies in the coming weeks, so there's a good chance that something else I'll see would have contended for this list, but I figure at some point you have to accept that you're either not going to see everything, or you're never going to make a list (I choose A. On that note, expect my best movies of the year list soon). More than any other list I write, I must stress that this is the Top 5 Worst Movies of 2007 That I Saw. Some of these are plenty bad, but I'm absolutely certain that I haven't seen most of the worst movies of the year, as I generally make an effort to avoid bad movies (whereas I am pretty confident that I've seen the majority of great movies, so I like that list more). Still, it's always fun to make fun of stuff, so here we go. ( I could've used this time reading or something. Or, more likely, watching other movies... )- Keywords:action_films, animated, comedies, comic_books, heists, lists, sci-fi, sequels, sports_movies, thrillers, year_end_lists

| TV Talk: The New Fall TV Season - New Show Overview (2007)Instead of doing reviews for every new pilot I watched over the past couple of weeks (which I really didn't have time for), I figured I'd just combine them all into mini-reviews in one post, judging each on whether or not I would continue watching the series. Each series will be listed in the order in which its pilot debuted, along with the network and time slot it occupies. | I saw 24 movies from 2005, usually in bunches. I didn't see everything I wanted to see this year, but had to put a cap on it sometime, as I'm never going to see every movie and the list had to go up sometime. Doing a year end list in June is kinda silly. Movies I still would like to see include Capote, Crash, The Aristocrats, The Squid and The Whale, The Constant Gardener, Match Point, and A History of Violence. While I could do a larger list, I chose to make this a top ten list because that seems to be the standard movie list format. I don't know if I've ever seen a movie list longer than ten in any publication. Unlike album lists, it's always ten movies plus honourable mentions. I guess it's because publications rarely have more than one movie critic, and thus don't have to combine a bunch of opinions into one list. For whatever reason, ten plus mentions is what I'm doing. One last thing, I reviewed every 2005 movie I saw, so I'll be linking to those original reviews. As a result, I probably will half-ass my write-ups here, since I've already said most of what I wanted to say. If you want more, click on the links. If you do, you'll notice that the scores I assigned each movie might not necessarily reflect the order in which I rank them. That's because I like to keep my reviews as objective as possible, with my scores reflecting my judgement of the quality of the film from an artistic standpoint. But, I still might like the movie more than others. Since this is more of MY top movies than a best of list, lower scoring movies that I love may top higher scoring movies that I like. Enough already, on to the list...
